Welcome!
The annual Yellowknife Voices for Peace Conference is back! Hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Canada and the city of Yellowknife. This amazing program happens every year all throughout Canada and it is back in Yellowknife!
The topic of this year is very important to all people regardless of faith and culture: mental health and resilience. There will be a wide variety of speakers and presentations as well as the time to speak and meet the great people of Yellowknife as well as share their own views and points to help people with these issues.
Refreshments will be provided and the event is FREE and open to everyone. The event will be taking place in Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre on September 22nd 2024 at 2:00pm-4:00pm.
The event has pre registration as well to better help the organizers see how many people will be attending! All people are strongly encouraged to register first but registration is not mandatory to attend the event.
Furthermore, this event is to preserve local heritage, history, traditions, and languages of the Indigenous community and the people of Yellowknife. This all aligns with the Voices of Peace showing inclusivity and prioritizing Wellness and Resislience in all communities.
We look forward to hosting the great people of Yellowknife and discussing these very important topics and finding solutions together.
