Smashin’ for Compassion— our exciting pickleball fundraising eventfor Compassion House— is bringing communities together to support women who have to travel to Edmonton for cancer care.
We're encouraging pickleball players or teams to sign up, set fundraising goals, and collect donations for Compassion House. When you play pickleball anytime from May 25th to June 8th, let everyone know you're playing for women who need Sorrentino’s Compassion House.
Your support means our House can continue to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable accommodations for women who must travel and stay in Edmonton during their cancer treatments. The House delivers much needed programs and services and creates a space where women can face their challenges together. In this House, noone faces cancer alone.
You can play anywhere–it’s not a tournament. Every game, every match, every volley during that time helps support the women who rely on Sorrentino’s Compassion House to provide affordable and supportive care.
Last year, Compassion House hosted 198 women from 76 different communities in Central and Northern Alberta. This is your opportunity to help us continue to make a difference, and have fun. It's pickleball with a purpose!
Never tried pickleball? Now's your chance to hit the court and reach for that golden pickle! You can also create a team with friends or colleagues. There's a list of pickleball courts on our website.
Want to cheer from the sidelines? Sponsor a player or team through online pledges.
See you on the court. And remember when life gives you pickleballs you smash them,
