On Saturday, February 8th, La Fédération franco-ténoise will be hosting the Welcoming Day for Newcomers to welcome and celebrate the contributions of newcomers to Yellowknife! The event is free and bilingual in english and french. The first part is dedicated to new newcomers and the second part is open to all.
Newcomers immigrants arrived in 2024 and 2025 are invited to fill in the form to receive a welcome kit and certificate at 1:00 pm at the Legislative Assembly: https://bit.ly/joa2025.We have limited quantities so first registered, first served.

1:00 PM to 2:00 PMCeremony and Welcoming Certificate Presentation for Newcomers
Location: Legislative Assembly of NWTThe ceremony will include the presentation of welcoming certificates and kits to the participants.
2:30 PM to 5:00 PMDiscover Booths, Cultural Sharing, Guided Tour, & Northern snacks
Location: Prince of Wales Northern Heritage CentreAfter the ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to explore booths, enjoy cultural sharing, partake in a guided tour, and sample traditional northern snacks.
