Event Details:

Canada and Iceland are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations. To celebrate the anniversary, His Excellency Hlynur Guðjónsson, Ambassador of Iceland to Canada will be donating a collection of books from Icelandic authors to the Yellowknife Public Library.

The collection of Icelandic books will be donated during an upcoming event. This event is open to the public; families and children are welcome to attend.

The event is cohosted by the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) and the City of Yellowknife.

 Join us for remarks by His Excellency Hlynur Guðjónsson; Minister of Education, Culture and Employment, R.J. Simpson; and Mayor of the City of Yellowknife, Rebecca Alty.

Following remarks, His Excellency Hlynur Guðjónsson will read one of the donated stories to children in attendance.
