🌍 Let’s talk Climate Action—right here in Yellowknife.

📣 Join us for our next Rotary Third Thursday Speaker Series, featuring the City of Yellowknife Climate & Environment Team for a timely conversation on climate change, local impacts, and how the Climate Action Plan 2026–2036 aims to build a more resilient Yellowknife.

🌱 What to Expect:
✅ An overview of the YK Climate Action Plan 2026–2036: a plan to reduce our energy use and emissions and adapt to climate change impacts.
âś… How residents, businesses, and organizations can get involved.

👥 About our two Speakers
Tatsuyuki Setta is the City of Yellowknife’s Manager of Planning and Environment, overseeing development applications and planning initiatives including the Climate Action Plan. He joined the City in 2022 after over a decade in senior planning roles in Courtenay and Regina and worked as a planning consultant in Japan earlier in his career. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and is a registered professional planner in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

Grace Schaan is the City of Yellowknife's Environment and Climate Coordinator and is leading the development of the Climate Action Plan 2026–2036. Since arriving in Yellowknife earlier this year, she has enjoyed getting to know the community and is dedicated to making her new home a healthier, safer, and more inclusive city through climate action. She previously worked for the Canadian Climate Policy Partnership analyzing mitigation efforts across Canada and holds a Master of Arts with a focus on climate policy from UBC.
